
Stefano Maffizzoni graduated from the Conservatoire when he
was 16 years old. He continued his education in such authoritative
music institutions as Academy Chigiana (Siena), International
Summer course Mozarteum (Saltsburg), Hochschule in Vienna,
under the guidance of such famous masters as Bruno Cavallo,
Severino Gazzelloni, Aurele Nicolet, Wolfgang Schultz.
Throughout his performing career he collaborated as soloist
with such symphony orchestras as “Amadeus”, Symphony Orchestra
of the Theatre of Bologna, Orchestra of the “Arturo Benedetti
Michelangeli”, International Festival in Brescia and Bergamo,
Orchestra “F.Busoni”, Orchestra of Bulgarian National Radio,
Macedonian Symphony Orchestra, I Solisti Veneziani, Academia
I Filarmonici, Cameristi Lombardi.
Stefano Maffizzoni won many prizes at the National and International
competitions, amongst them Gold medal at the “Paul Harris”
International Competition.
He was invited to give performances and conduct master classes
to University of Colima (Mexico), International Dubrich Academy
(Bulgaria), “Clark College” (USA),
Hong-Kong Academy for performing Arts (China), University
of British Columbia (Canada)
Stefano Maffizzoni performed on famous stages such as Grand
Theatre in Brescia, Theatre Bibiena in Mantova, Auditorium
“G.Verdi” in Milan, Concert Hall “Bulgaria”, Theatre of Innsbruck,
“Xinghai” Concert Hall in Guangzhou (China).
Stefano Maffizzoni frequently performs in concert tours in
Europe, Canada, United States, Russia,and recently in Hong
Kong and China.
Currently he is playing in duo with Canadian virtuoso pianist
Eugene Skovorodnikov.
